Beautiful wedding in Tønder
In June 2024 I was able to accompany the beautiful wedding of Alina and Ayhan in Tønder, Denmark.
This wedding still puts a smile on my face today – it was a true celebration of love.
Why Denmark?
Alina and Ayhan live in Germany but have decided to get married in Denmark. Denmark is known for being easier to get married in and for having less bureaucracy. That is exactly why couples from all over the world come to Denmark to get married.
Tønder
Tønder, a charming and historic town in the south of Denmark, is a popular location for international weddings. Around 2,000 weddings take place there every year - impressive when you consider that the town only has a population of around 7,000. Almost all weddings in Tønder are of couples from abroad. Almost anyone can get married here, regardless of origin or nationality.
As a wedding photographer in Tønder
I love photographing weddings in Denmark. The atmosphere is always relaxed and I enjoy the freedom of being able to take photos in so many beautiful locations. Tønder itself is a photographer's dream - with its picturesque old town, charming alleyways and impressive architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries.
The wedding day of Alina and Ayhan
Our day began with getting ready at Hostrups Hotel in Tønder. I was able to accompany both the bride and the groom in these special moments.
Afterwards they went to the registry office in Tønder, where Alina and Ayhan said "I do". The ceremony was held in German - many registrars in Denmark speak fluent German, which makes the wedding particularly pleasant for many couples.
After the wedding ceremony, we did the couple photo shoot in the center of Tønder. The historic old town with its lovingly preserved buildings offers a wonderful backdrop for romantic wedding photos. It was a pleasure to photograph Alina and Ayhan in this magical setting.
A Festival of Emotions
The deep connection between Alina and Ayhan was palpable in every moment and in every photo. Their love for each other really enriched my day as a photographer. It fills me with joy every time to be able to accompany soul mates on their journey and capture their love in timeless images.
