Eloping in Interlaken
Just imagine: You and your better half are high up in the Swiss Alps. There is no one around you. Just the two of you and your photographer. There are no distractions and hardly any noise. You hear nothing but the wind playing with your hair. You go on the hike together and forget that there is someone there taking photos. You just enjoy your time together and the breathtaking view.
There is no rush, you have all the time in the world - doesn't that sound great to you?
Elopement in Interlaken
For Mike and Poonam, this Swiss fairytale has come true.
In June 2022 I had the honor of photographing their elopement in Interlaken, Switzerland.
We chose a beautiful and less touristy place in Interlaken to host the two lovebirds. I can tell you that it was really not easy to find a place in Interlaken where there are no tourists. But I did my homework and found it 🙂
As a wedding photographer, I have photographed many large and small weddings in different locations. But this elopement wedding, also called "runaway wedding", in Switzerland was something very special and magical for me. It is probably due to the Swiss air, the charm and the personalities of Mike and Poonam.
Mike and Poonam trusted me unconditionally during the photo shoot in Switzerland and gave me complete freedom. And for me as an artist, it is very important to enjoy this trust from the couples I work with. Only then am I able to create stunning works of art for my clients that they will later love to hang on their walls and look at again and again in loving memory of their very special day.
Back to the beautiful and romantic engagement in Switzerland.
I consider myself so incredibly lucky that I get to photograph love in the most beautiful and unique places in the world. I spent the first 15 years of my life in a village of 2000 people in Siberia. Now traveling around the world and photographing weddings is the best thing that could ever happen to me!
